* Intelligentsia, which is a Chicago firm that started right around the corner from my apartment in October 1995, was on the Today Show Sunday morning. You would expect the program's report to mention that Intelligentsia was founded in Chicago. No such luck! They showed founder Doug Zell and another employee being interviewed at the firm's coffee research center in New York. Talk about national media bias! It is true that the report was on coffee, not Intelligentsia, but we never seem to catch a break in these situations.
